Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday–Friday | 8:00am - 4:00pm, including 1 x 5pm finish

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our vibrant school community. In this role, you’ll work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to support the personal, social and academic development of our young people across a 24‑hour curriculum.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supporting teachers to help young people engage, progress and thrive in their learning
- Delivering structured support for individuals and small groups
- Creating a safe, positive and inclusive environment where pupils feel valued
- Monitoring progress and contributing to assessment and learning outcomes
- Providing pastoral support and promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Building strong relationships that encourage confidence, independence and resilience
- Supporting trips, enrichment activities, social events and wider school life
- Safeguarding pupils at all times, including supporting medical and personal care needs
What We’re Looking For:
- GCSE Grade C / 4 or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Compassionate, patient and resilient
- Able to build positive, trusting relationships with young people
- A team player who communicates well with colleagues and families
- Willing to support all aspects of school life — from learning to personal care to enrichment activities
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
- A full driving licence
