Salary: Up to £52,000 FTE DOE

Hours: 15 hours per week, flexible 2 days a week 08:30am-16:30pm

About the role:

We are looking for an experienced Psychotherapist to join an established school with a friendly team, multi-disciplinary in-house therapy team and connected to a nationwide network of specialist therapists and leadership. Deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for pupils with complex communication needs, autism and associated learning and emotional needs. Implement a holistic, therapeutic approach to supporting pupils in their daily lives, ensuring they are safe, comfortable and healthy. Undertake all aspects of psychotherapy clinical duties, adhering to professional and regulatory guidelines, including specialist individual assessments, interventions and documentation. Prepare relevant documentation, including writing reports. Collaborate with the onsite clinical team to develop the clinical service provision, providing support and training to staff and parents. Maintain a nurturing environment, uphold a strong safeguarding culture and ensure pupils are heard, respected and involved in decisions where possible.

Essential Criteria:

  • Appropriate Psychotherapeutic qualification.
  • Registered member of one or more of the following bodies: HCPC, BACP, BABCP, PTUK, NCPC, UKCP.
  • Clear and concise report writing relating to clinical and research activities.
  • Experience of working with people with neurodivergence and/or complex needs (e.g., complex trauma, neurodevelopmental differences, mental health needs).
  • Ability to work independently as agreed under supervision.
  • Experience of multi-professional work teams or services within designated speciality.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the setting.
  • Full valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
