Hours: 37.5 per week | Monday to Friday

Salary: ÂŁ22,160.62 - ÂŁ25,000 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play an essential role in supporting pupils’ academic learning, emotional wellbeing, and social development, often helping them achieve things they once thought were beyond reach. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, values inclusive education, and is committed to helping young people build confidence, independence, and resilience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils with additional and complex needs, helping them remain engaged, safe, and valued.
  • Supporting the planning and delivery of creative, engaging learning activities alongside teaching staff to promote progress and curiosity.
  • Encouraging pupils’ emotional, social, and physical development through patience, understanding, and positive behaviour support.
  • Taking part in a range of classroom-based and outdoor learning activities, from structured lessons to practical and creative experiences.
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure a consistent, nurturing environment where every pupil can thrive.
