We are looking for a Lead Clinician to manage our in‑house Clinical Team at Orchard Manor School. The postholder will work collaboratively with both the school’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and the Regional Clinical Lead, combining clinical leadership with a therapy caseload to deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for pupils with complex profiles of need, including autism, neurodivergence, developmental trauma and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. Meeting the needs of Education, Health and Care Programme (EHCP) plans will be a primary focus.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Clinically lead the team and hold a therapy caseload.
  • Deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for pupils with complex needs.
  • Coordinate line‑management of onsite clinical team members.
  • Lead on service development of the clinical school‑based service alongside the SLT and Regional Clinical Lead.
  • Develop and maintain a person‑centred, empowering approach, prioritising safeguarding culture.
  • Write clear and concise clinical and research reports.
  • Provide supervision and support to the therapy team.
  • Work independently and dynamically within a growing clinical service.
  • Engage in multi‑professional work with teams or services within the designated specialty.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • Registered Practitioner with the HCPC or other approved governing body.
  • Valid and up‑to‑date professional registration and membership of a professional body (e.g., BPS).
  • Experience working with autistic individuals and/or those with complex needs.
  • Experience providing supervision and supporting a therapy team.
  • Full UK valid driving licence and access to own vehicle.

Working Conditions

  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday‑Friday.
  • Contract: Permanent (52 weeks, with flexibility around term‑time contract based on circumstances).
  • Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (FTE, DOE).
