About the Role
We are seeking an inspiring teacher to join our dedicated team, delivering high‑quality learning experiences to individual students and small groups. You’ll teach up to GCSE level in a core subject and play a key role in shaping personalised learning pathways that help our students grow academically, socially and emotionally. This role will cover both the Parkside House School sites in Ashington and Backworth.
What You’ll Do
- Planning and delivering engaging, personalised lessons (including GCSE in a core subject) for individuals and small groups
- Creating and reviewing Individual Education Plans, Behaviour Plans and tailored learning programmes
- Supporting nurture‑based approaches and helping students develop emotional regulation and self‑control
- Monitoring, recording and reporting on progress, ensuring high‑quality assessment and subject development
- Working collaboratively with LSAs, tutors, care staff and the wider multi‑professional team
- Ensuring a safe, stimulating and well‑organised learning environment both on and off site
What We’re Looking For
- QTS or equivalent qualification required
- Required to teach a variety of subjects, one core subject at GCSE level
- Strong behaviour management skills and a nurturing, student‑centred approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Resilience, creativity and a commitment to continuous professional development
- A passion for helping students overcome barriers and achieve meaningful progress
- Driving licence required
