Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for an In-House Lawyer on behalf of a growing, tech-focused SME in Crewe. This is a rare opportunity to step into a visible and influential role where your legal advice will directly shape commercial decisions and support continued business growth.
Key Duties:
- Partnering with stakeholders to deliver clear, strategic legal advice that supports business growth.
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad spectrum of commercial contracts, from NDAs to renewals and everything in between.
- Supporting the sales team throughout the contract lifecycle to enable deals to close smoothly and confidently.
- Managing early-stage disputes and litigation.
- Owning legal policies, terms and conditions and template documentation, ensuring they remain compliant and commercially robust.
- Driving data protection initiatives.
- Managing the company's insurance portfolio and overseeing renewals.
- Identifying risk and providing commercially viable solutions.
Requirements:
- Ideally 5+ years PQE.
- Experience working within an SME environment.
- Strong commercial contracts background with excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
- Commercially minded approach, able to balance legal risk with business objectives.
- Highly organised and confident working autonomously.
- IP and/or data protection experience would be advantageous.
Our client is also open to first-time in-house moves from private practice, provided candidates can demonstrate solid commercial contracts experience and the right mindset. Salary will be reflective of experience and transition level.
