Full time Warehouse Manager – Taunton local Area

Our client situated near Taunton is a busy online retailer of a wide variety of products in the home and garden, agricultural and industrial sectors. They have ambitious growth plans and now require a Warehouse Manager to support their ambitions.

Salary: 38k – 40k DoE

Working weekdays Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm with occasional Saturday working in peak season.

As the Warehouse Manager your Key Responsibilities will be:

• Be responsible for the daily pick/pack/dispatch function.
• Ensure pickable stock is available and replenished in line with forecasted seasonal demand.
• Ensure all operational KPI\’s and company requirements are met, tracked, and challenged.
• Be instrumental in the day-to-day running of the warehouse, managing order volumes, daily workload, and continuous process improvement of the operation.
• Lead, coach, and develop new and existing warehouse team members.
• Maintain warehouse operational standards and processes, ensuring all team members follow procedures.
• Responsible for staff recruitment in line with seasonal demands of the business and conduct appraisals and disciplinary processes.
• Responsibility for the FLT fleet.
• Promote and monitor health and safety compliance with regard to staff, buildings, and equipment.

The successful applicant will need to possess key skills to include:

• Be driven, with the ability to lead and motivate staff productivity and performance.
• Previous experience in warehousing/logistics at a supervisory level.
• Resolve conflicts effectively and display a positive attitude in challenging situations.
• Experience of managing health and safety in a warehouse environment.
• Experience of stock control management, ERP systems, and data management using spreadsheets.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Be a self-starter with initiative to solve problems unaided.
• Attention to detail with flexibility to adapt to change.
