Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a CNC Machine Operator to join a well-established, family-run engineering company based in Witheridge, near Tiverton. This is an excellent permanent opportunity for someone with CNC turning and milling experience, or for a technically minded individual looking to develop a long-term career in precision engineering. Full training is available for the right candidate, with genuine opportunities to progress to a CNC Setter. Please note: Own transport is essential due to the rural location.
Key Duties
- Operate CNC turning and milling machines to manufacture precision-engineered components.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished products.
- Produce components accurately to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Carry out quality inspections using measuring equipment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Identify and report machine or quality issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
- Follow company quality standards and health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience operating CNC turning and milling machines is beneficial but not essential.
- Full training provided for candidates with a strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Experience within engineering, manufacturing, machining, or machine operation is advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is desirable.
