Introduction
Acorn by Synergie have an exciting opportunity for an Agricultural Mechanic to join a dynamic team in the Tiverton area. Due to the continued growth of the business and continued customer expansion, we are looking for a self-motivated Agricultural Mechanic who thrives on independence and is eager to expand his/her technical skills. The role on offer is varied and will require working within the depot and out in the field. The successful Agricultural Mechanic will be involved in supporting customer needs on all types of Agricultural machinery, to include fault finding, servicing and repairs.
Key Duties
- Fault finding and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues in agricultural machinery and equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, lubrication, and inspection.
- Replace or repair defective parts using hand tools and power tools.
- Check and service all machinery at correct intervals.
- Fabricating parts as needed using a variety of tools and machinery.
- Keeping records of inspections, work performed, and parts used.
- Plan and prioritise work to ensure correct machinery is ready when needed.
Requirements
- City & Guilds or formally qualified to NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in vehicle repair & maintenance preferred or track record of previous relevant experience.
- Electrical, hydraulic and mechanical fitting knowledge.
- Experience with CNH products and agricultural equipment is an advantage, but not essential.
- Background in Agriculture, Plant machinery, or similar industries highly desired.
