Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Material Control Operative to join a busy warehouse and logistics team in Thornbury. This is a varied warehouse-based role offering full training and long-term opportunities for candidates with previous warehouse experience and strong attention to detail.
Shift Pattern & Pay:
- Monday to Friday rotating shifts: 06:00 - 14:00, 12:00 - 20:00
- £13.91 per hour
- Overtime paid at premium rates
Key Duties:
- Receive, check, and book in materials against delivery notes
- Pick and issue materials for production, instruments, and marketing
- Carry out accurate stock picking and warehouse duties
- Support weekly inventory and stock management activities
- Assist departments with stock and non-stock queries
- Produce commercial invoices
- Carry out PAT testing duties following training
- Complete manual handling tasks safely and efficiently
Requirements:
- Previous warehouse experience essential
- Counterbalance and Reach Truck experience beneficial
- FLT licence preferred but not essential as training can be provided
- Good computer and system skills
- Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination
- Willingness to learn internal systems and procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Own transport required due to location if not local to Thornbury
