Acorn by Synergie is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and successful manufacturing business for an experienced Maintenance Electrical Engineer to join their engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically biased engineer who enjoys fault finding, preventative maintenance and continuous improvement within a fast-paced production environment. You'll play a key role in ensuring machinery, equipment and site plant operate safely and efficiently, helping to minimise downtime and maximise productivity.
Key Duties:
- Carry out electrical maintenance, fault finding and repairs on production machinery and site plant.
- Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules to minimise downtime.
- Support machinery installations, upgrades and continuous improvement projects.
- Perform basic mechanical maintenance and repairs when required.
- Respond quickly and effectively to equipment breakdowns.
- Accurately record maintenance activities using the company's maintenance management system.
- Work closely with production, stores and dispatch teams to coordinate maintenance activities.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety and housekeeping.
- Support and mentor apprentices and new team members where required.
Requirements:
- City & Guilds in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Portable Appliance Testing experience.
- Knowledge of Mechanical Engineering.
- Previous manufacturing, production machinery and site plant experience.
- Knowledge of dynamic risk assessments.
