This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled CNC Setter Operator to join a forward‑thinking organisation renowned for precision engineering, technical innovation, and manufacturing excellence.

Key Duties:

  • Set and operate CNC machines in line with engineering drawings, planning sheets, and quality standards.
  • Ensure machining operations meet production targets and agreed cycle times.
  • Maintain consistent quality output, ensuring all components are machined to precise specifications.
  • Adhere to all safe working practices, using safety guards and PPE provided.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across Fabrication and Machine Shop departments.
  • Support wider production requirements and departmental objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth workflow and quality control.
  • Effectively and efficiently set and operate CNC lathe/milling machines using the Planning Sheets, tooling, gauges and material provided.
  • Maintain a good volume of work through the machine using the guidelines of times given on the Planning Sheets or a time given as a result of a time request.

Requirements:

  • Competent in the use of CNC machine tools, measuring instruments, and inspection procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and process documentation.
  • At least 3 years within a CNC machining or precision engineering environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Flexible and self‑motivated, with the ability to work a three‑shift rotating pattern.
  • Strong awareness of health, safety, and environmental procedures.
  • All employees are expected to work safely and comply with company Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies.
  • Maintaining a tidy and hazard‑free workspace is essential.
  • Reasonable overtime may be required to support business needs.

You will be required to work a variety of shifts on a rotating shift pattern as follows from Monday to Friday:

  • Days: 8am – 4:30pm.
  • Rotating: 6am – 2pm / 2pm – 10pm.
  • Nights: 10pm – 6am.
