Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Material Cutter to join a busy manufacturing team in Redruth. This role involves preparing paper patterns to exact specifications and accurately cutting fabric in readiness for machinists to complete the final product. It is a hands-on position suited to someone who takes pride in precision and quality.
Key Duties
- Alter paper patterns to specification.
- Hand cut fabric pattern pieces accurately.
- Mark fastenings and pin reinforcements as required.
- Generate garment labels.
- Check the work of other cutters for quality assurance on a rotational basis.
- Log completed work using dedicated manufacturing software.
Requirements
- Previous experience required.
- Thorough and precise approach to work.
- High attention to detail.
- Good manual dexterity and ability to work well with your hands.
- Numerically competent and computer literate.
- Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
- Commitment to delivering a high level of quality.
- Able to ensure accurate and timely output.
- Comfortable working effectively within a small team environment.
