Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Recycling Operative to join Cytiva in Ilfracombe. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term temporary role with a well-established company operating within the Life Sciences sector.
This role is ideal for someone reliable, proactive, and comfortable working in a hands-on team environment.
Key Duties:- Carry out daily recycling duties within the onsite recycling centre.
- Segregate rejected products, packaging, WEEE, metals, and other recyclable materials.
- Prepare recycled products for transportation, including packaging and palletising.
- Support safe and efficient recycling processes onsite.
- Operate machinery used for cutting or shredding plastic materials following training.
- Follow all environmental, health and safety procedures.
- Support improvements to waste and recycling processes.
- Assist the maintenance and facilities team with additional duties when required.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Interest in recycling, sustainability, or environmental practices beneficial.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on environment and operating machinery safely.
