Introduction
Acorn by Synergie is recruiting experienced Reach and Counterbalance Forklift Drivers to join a client's site in Avonmouth.
This is a temporary ongoing role offering stable, full-time work within a supportive manufacturing environment. The position can be physically demanding and repetitive, so reliability, focus and a strong work ethic are essential.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform accurate picking of raw materials, packaging and finished goods, and wrap, check and despatch orders to meet deadlines.
- Load and unload vehicles to ensure the safe, efficient and timely movement of goods.
- Receive, check and store deliveries via system-directed put-away to maintain stock integrity.
- Operate reach truck and counterbalance forklifts daily to move and locate pallets safely.
- Conduct cycle counts and stock accuracy checks to uphold precise records.
- Book stock movements on warehouse systems to keep data current and traceable.
- Maintain cleanliness and follow Health & Safety and food hygiene procedures to support compliant operations.
- Replenish locations, split stock and complete warehouse moves to optimise availability and workflow.
- Investigate routine discrepancies, provide basic warehouse information and escalte non-routine issues to protect inventory accuracy.
- Rotate across all warehouse-related tasks to support efficient warehouse operations.
Requirements
- Reach truck and counterbalance licences are required - RTITB / ITSSAR.
- Demonstrable experience operating powered lift equipment and carrying out manual handling to move and secure palletised stock safely.
- Demonstrable experience conducting cycle counts, investigating routine variances and maintaining accurate records in warehouse systems.
- Demonstrable experience working rota-driven shifts in compliance with Health & Safety and food hygiene standards.
- Understanding of stock control, cycle counting and booking stock movements in warehouse systems.
- Awareness of safe operation and basic checks of powered lift equipment and manual handling for palletised stock.
- Awareness of food hygiene, Health & Safety procedures and site-specific compliance for warehouse operations.
