Quality Control Technician

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Quality Control Technician to join a leading manufacturing business based in Weymouth. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a high-spec facility with a company focused on continuous improvement, compliance, and innovation.

About the Role:

As a key member of the Quality Assurance Team, you\’ll support the QA Supervisor to ensure all products and processes meet company and customer standards. You\’ll carry out inspections, support investigations, and help drive quality improvements across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out First Off, Stage/Batch, and Final Release Inspections to IPC standards.
  • Monitor and maintain quality levels in line with internal and external standards.
  • Ensure all deviations have appropriate sign-off and documentation.
  • Input data related to Manufacturing, Quality, and Customer Returns.
  • Maintain clean and safe working conditions in accordance with 6S and FOD.
  • Support 8D root cause analysis and investigations with the wider team.
  • Promote continuous improvement across QA and manufacturing departments.
  • Monitor ESD practices and ensure tooling/equipment remains serviceable.
  • Work to AS9100 and NADCAP standards.
  • Liaise with QA Engineering and Production teams on compliance issues.
  • Support additional tasks as required by QA leadership.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar Quality Control or QA Technician role.
  • Knowledge of IPC standards and aerospace/defence industry compliance.
  • Understanding of AS9100 and NADCAP (desirable).
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
