Manufacturing - Production Operative in Newton Abbot
Day shifts: £12.21 per hour, £18.31 per hour for overtime - Temp to Perm
Monday - Thursday: 06.00 am - 16.00 pm
Night shifts: £13.21 per hour, £18.66 per hour for overtime - Temp to Perm
Monday - Wednesday: 18:00 pm - 06:00 am
Are you a hardworking and dedicated individual looking for your next career opportunity? We are currently seeking Production Operatives to join the team at a metal fabrication plant in Newton Abbot.
The ideal candidate should be available Monday to Thursday from 6am to 4pm, with the possibility of occasional overtime. We offer a competitive hourly rate of £12.21, and overtime is paid at £18.31 per hour, with all training provided.
The main responsibilities of the Production Operative will include:
- Operating and maintaining CNC machines to produce metal components according to specifications
- Welding and fabricating metal parts using various techniques
- Inspecting finished products for quality and accuracy
- Assisting with loading and unloading materials for production
- Following safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organised workspace
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:
- Previous experience in metal fabrication or production is preferred, but not required
- Basic knowledge of CNC machines and welding techniques
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines
- Strong work ethic and team-player attitude
- Manual handling experience is desirable
