Process Technician
- Location: Swansea.
- Salary: 32,304 rising to 34,994 once passed out as competent.
- a competitive shift allowance of 5259, and annual bonus.
- Hours: 4 on, 6 off shifts. Flexible approach required due to call-ins and overtime that may be required.
Acorn by Synergie is currently recruiting for a Process Technician on behalf of their client at a heavy industry refinery facility based in Swansea.
The Mond Nickel Refinery, owned & operated by Vale Europe is one of the world\'s leading Nickel refineries. Vale are globally one of the world\'s largest mining companies, with with operations in the UK, Asia, the USA and across Europe.
This is an ongoing / permanent vacancy with a very well established company. The successful candidate will have worked in a manufacturing or industrial environment; ideally with powdered metals, and full training will be provided.
You must demonstrate good working knowledge of Safe Systems of Work along with the ability to champion safety in the workplace. Furthermore, the individual will be expected to demonstrate their knowledge of CI, aligning to the refineries commitment to continuously improve processes and systems.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Safety and Quality focused.
- Previous experience in a Process Operations role within Heavy Industry.
- Good Organisational skills.
- Is able to carry out basic Maintenance tasks as assigned.
- Commitment to continuous improvement ideally with experience of 5S practices and using C.I tools.
- Is used to operating process equipment and FLT.
- Able to solve problems on own initiative.
- Committed to cover overtime when required to do so.
- Excellent attention to detail.
