Introduction
Acorn by Synergie is currently seeking an experienced Technical Author / Writer for their client, a leading global manufacturing and engineering company, within the Global Service Readiness Engineering Team based in Portsmouth. This is a full-time, temporary opportunity to work within a forward-thinking organisation that values collaboration, innovation, and quality.
Key Duties:
- Finalise service-related documents using content provided by Service Readiness Engineers.
- Ensure documentation meets quality, technical, and regulatory requirements (ISO, cGMP, GDP, EHS).
- Standardise documentation to improve readability and support global Field Service teams.
- Support Global Service Readiness Engineers with document lifecycle management.
- Track and monitor document releases and updates within internal platforms.
- Transfer and create technical content into standard formats using a Component Content Management System (CCMS).
- Monitor document review and approval processes and publish approved documentation to central repositories.
- Report document status and identify risks throughout the documentation lifecycle.
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering, Life Science, Language Processing, or at least 2 years' relevant experience.
- Familiarity with ISO, cGMP, GDP, and quality systems related to design control and product release.
- Experience working within project teams and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of the English language.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
