Loading Shovel / ADT Driver Port Talbot | £30,000-£35,000 per annum | Monday to Friday | 7am-4:30pm | Ongoing Work Introduction Acorn by Synergie is currently recruiting experienced Loading Shovel and ADT Drivers for ongoing positions with a well-known industrial contractor based in Port Talbot. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Loading Shovel Operator, ADT Driver, Wheeled Loading Shovel Driver, or Plant Operator with experience in industrial environments such as recycling, steelworks, quarrying, or similar heavy industry. The role offers ongoing work, competitive pay, overtime opportunities and a strong benefits package. What We Offer £30,000-£35,000 per annum. Plenty of overtime opportunities paid at premium rates. 30 days' paid holiday. Pension contributions on a PAYE basis. Ongoing work with an established industrial contractor. Monday to Friday working, with additional hours available during busy periods. Key Duties Operate wheeled loading shovels safely and efficiently. Operate ADT vehicles as required. Load and move materials safely around the site. Support loading, processing and material handling operations. Operate mobile plant within recycling, steelworks, quarrying or other industrial environments. Work around screens, crushers and trucks where required. Carry out daily equipment checks and report any defects or issues. Follow all site health and safety procedures and operational requirements. Maintain a safe and tidy working environment. Work flexibly to support operational requirements during busy periods. Requirements Previous experience operating wheeled loading shovels in a recycling, steelworks, quarry or similar industrial environment. Experience operating ADTs is desirable. Experience working with screens, crushers and trucks is desirable. Relevant plant operator qualifications such as CPCS or NPORS are desirable, although in-house licences are accepted. Valid UK driving licence. Valid CCNSG Site Safety Passport is essential. Flexible approach to working hours. Reliable and safety-conscious approach to work. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Working Hours Monday to Friday. Generally 7am-4:30pm. Additional hours may be required during busy periods. Interested?
