We are seeking a skilled Executive Personal Assistant to join us in Bovey Tracey. As an Executive Personal Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the Directors with administrative tasks, creating and managing online sales accounts, the company magazine and book library, and undertaking research tasks.

Additional responsibilities:

  • House and dog sitting for between 12 to 20 weeks per year at the Directors' home when the Directors are travelling.
  • Drive the Financial Director locally as required due to a health condition.

Essential Requirements/Skills:

  • Must love dogs - caring for four dogs (all Cairn Terriers) is an essential part of this role.
  • Unimpeachable integrity.
  • Driving licence.
  • Exceptional organisation and interpersonal skills.
  • Good communication skills - both verbal and written.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good initiative - capable of making their own decisions and acting upon them.
  • Computer skills - Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Competency using online tools for research/information.
  • Able to prioritise tasks and delegate when/where necessary.
  • Accurate reporting skills.
  • Well-organised.
  • Capable of turning their hand to a variety of tasks.
  • Unflappable, no matter how stressed the situation becomes.
  • Willing to travel anywhere worldwide at short notice (only on rare occasions).
  • Excellent memory for names and faces in social environments.
  • Willing to work anti-social hours (on rare occasions).
  • Ad hoc tasks as required to support the needs of the business.

Normal Working - Location and Hours:

The job is office based in a dedicated office separate to but within the grounds of the house (about 20 meters from the main house). The office is shared with the MD and one other employee who works for Maritime Film as a video editor. 40 hour working week with flexibility.

Additional Responsibilities - House and Dog Sitting:

This involves living in the Directors' house, feeding, walking, and caring for the dogs, looking after the house (aided by the gardeners and weekly cleaner), keeping it clean and tidy. It is important that the person engages with the dogs and stays in with them during the evenings and is happy to walk them daily.

At weekends, the individual is not expected to work in the office but is free to enjoy their normal life while living in the main house. Weekend working when dog sitting is compensated as time off in lieu and is paid at the rate of half a day for each weekend day worked. Bank holidays are compensated on a one for one basis.
