Refuse Collectors | Recycling Operatives | Waste Collection Operatives Newton Abbot | £12.85 per Hour | 6am-4:30pm | Temporary Ongoing Introduction Acorn by Synergie is recruiting Refuse Collectors / Recycling Operatives to join a recycling team in Newton Abbot. This is a physically demanding, hands-on role involving outdoor work in all weather conditions, collecting and disposing of household and commercial waste and recycling. The role involves manual handling, operating waste collection equipment and walking up to 15 miles per day. What We Offer £12.85 per hour. Working hours of 6am-4:30pm. Temporary ongoing assignment. Outdoor, hands-on working environment. Key Duties Move wheelie bins, recycling boxes and refuse bags from kerbsides and properties to the collection vehicle. Operate hydraulic lifting mechanisms to empty bins into the refuse collection vehicle. Operate waste compacting equipment within the collection lorry. Carry out physically demanding waste and recycling collection duties. Work outdoors in various weather conditions. Walk up to 15 miles per day while completing collection routes. Requirements Physically fit and able to stand for long periods. Ability to lift and move heavy items. Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. Ability to undertake physically demanding work, including walking up to 15 miles per day. Interested?
