Acorn by Synergie is recruiting an experienced Industrial Electrician to join an established engineering team in Newton Abbot. This is an excellent opportunity for an Industrial Electrician, Electrical Maintenance Electrician, Electrical Engineer or Maintenance Electrician looking to move away from shift work into a stable Monday to Friday role.

You'll be responsible for planned and reactive electrical maintenance, fault finding and repairs on fixed plant and industrial equipment, helping to maintain site reliability, safety and productivity.

Key Duties

  • Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance on fixed plant and industrial equipment.
  • Diagnose electrical faults and complete repairs to minimise downtime.
  • Carry out electrical fault finding and troubleshooting.
  • Support plant reliability and help maintain efficient site operations.
  • Identify and resolve electrical issues safely and effectively.
  • Follow site procedures, health and safety requirements and safe systems of work.
  • Work at height and in confined spaces when required.
  • Support the wider engineering and maintenance team as required.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering.
  • Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician or Electrical Maintenance Electrician.
  • Experience working with industrial fixed plant and equipment.
  • Strong electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to work safely and effectively in an industrial environment.
  • Reliable, practical and safety-focused approach.
  • Experience within manufacturing, quarrying, mining, aggregates, chemical, food production or process environments would be highly relevant.
