Acorn by Synergie is working in partnership with a national Tier One contractor that is looking to add a Senior Site Manager to their team on a permanent basis.

As a Senior Site Manager, you will be part of a one-team ethos, delivering quality construction projects safely and on time, whilst also having a positive impact on the local community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Report to the Construction Manager and manage the delivery of projects safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality.
  • Provide effective leadership and people management.
  • Maintain the highest standards of health, safety and environmental management.
  • Implement project strategies to achieve the company's sustainability objectives.
  • Establish standards of quality on-site and ensure delivery of a quality build in accordance with project specifications and requirements.
  • Understand client priorities and adopt a professional and considerate approach to maintain good working relationships.
  • Implement the supply chain policy.
  • Adopt the principles of the Considerate Constructors Scheme and manage community relations.
  • Ensure an appropriate site image is maintained to encourage repeat business.
  • Produce and develop project programmes and control operations to achieve project delivery on time.
  • Organise works and the supply chain to provide the right working environment and avoid disruption between trades.
  • Undertake works in the most economical manner to eliminate waste and avoid non-recoverable costs and preliminary losses.
  • Monitor and work to the agreed preliminary budget.
  • Maintain continuous professional development to ensure appropriate technical awareness.
  • Comply with standard procedures.
  • Manage project handover and ensure defect and snag-free completion.
  • Support the strategy for the closure of defects during the defects period and obtain a Certificate of Making Good Defects within agreed targets.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of successfully delivering construction projects as part of a wider team.
  • Ability to read and accurately interpret programmes, drawings and technical specifications.
  • Understanding of and ability to appropriately share build programmes.
  • Experience managing supply chains, direct employees and consultants.
  • Experience proactively liaising with customers and the supply chain.
  • Minimum relevant Level 4 qualification, such as HNC/NVQ4, or equivalent.
  • Appropriate CSCS card.
  • SMSTS certificate.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • First Aid at Work certificate.
  • Experience within healthcare or defence construction projects is strongly preferred.
