Are you an experienced Mechanical Assembly Engineer, installer, fitter, or assembly technician looking for your next challenge? We are looking for a motivated and dependable Industrial Pallet Racking & Mezzanine Floor Installer to join a dynamic and friendly installation team based in Exeter.
You will be working on commercial projects across the UK, installing storage solutions including pallet racking systems and mezzanine floors in a variety of industrial and warehousing environments. This is a hands-on, physical role ideally suited for someone with experience in mechanical assembly, warehouse installations, or construction site work. You will be provided with full training, career progression opportunities, and a company van; however, any previous experience in a similar role or industry is highly desirable!
Key Duties and Responsibilities- Installation and maintenance of industrial pallet racking and mezzanine floors on-site.
- Use of Scissor lifts in a safe manner.
- Work to specification, ensuring high standards of quality and safety.
- Assist the Team Leader to complete installations and maintenance on time and to client satisfaction.
- Follow all health & safety protocols and maintain a safe work area.
- Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience in installation, fitting, mechanical assembly, maintenance or construction.
- Strong practical skills and proficiency with use of hand tools; Band Saw, Drills etc.
- Ability to read design drawings as steel racking material needs to be cut to client specification before installation.
- Full UK driving licence essential (towing licence desirable).
- Physically demanding - able to lift and handle equipment safely.
- Must be comfortable working at height.
- Flexible and willing to travel across the UK (occasional overnight stays & weekends).
- Scissor Lift licence is essential.
- FLT Counterbalance or Reach Truck licence is desirable (training can be provided).
