Acorn by Synergie is working in partnership with Honeywell in Yeovil, Somerset and have opportunities for a Mechanical Design Engineer to work on a full-time basis starting as soon as possible. The role will involve the design of aerospace equipment, with the following responsibilities:
- Designs, develops, and tests all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.
- Applies knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc.
- May be involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of mechanical products.
- May require a bachelor's degree in engineering and related experience, demonstrating proven capabilities in the field or in a related area.
- Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Works under immediate supervision.
- Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.
- Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Hours: Range of shifts available and some flexibility to work away from site.
Days: Monday to Thursday (07:00 to 15:30) & Friday (07:00 to 12:00)
£35.00 to £45.00 per hour, inclusive of shift allowance and depending on experience.
