Are you adept at maintaining overhead cranes to peak operational standards? Do you have innovative ideas to advance the field of crane mechanics? Your role will involve working with machinery that is integral to a wide range of industries, including home appliances, construction, and more.
What you will do:
- You will oversee the mechanical upkeep, overhaul, and repair of our crane equipment, ensuring high-level bay maintenance.
- Your hands-on approach will also extend to general production line maintenance during downtime.
Responsibilities:
- Uphold Health, Safety, and Environmental standards in compliance with our IMS procedures and PPE guidelines.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on Overhead Travelling Cranes.
- Perform high-quality mechanical repairs based on existing schematics within set timelines.
- Contribute to the design and production of spare parts for cranes.
- Engage in the refurbishment of current machinery.
- Actively participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives, enhancing safety and cleanliness within the Crane Maintenance Team.
- Perform additional duties in Workshops, auxiliary plants, and during downshifts as needed.
- Conduct Zone Safety audits and Risk assessments in accordance with our Safety Sub Plan.
What you will need:
We are seeking a seasoned fitter with substantial experience in the steel or construction industry. Possession of an NVQ level 3 in Mechanical Engineering would be advantageous.
