Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for an experienced Industrial Cleaner to join a busy meat production facility in Plymouth.
This is an excellent temporary-to-permanent opportunity for a reliable and hardworking individual who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within a fast-paced food production environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning production areas, machinery, offices, welfare facilities, and external areas, ensuring the site remains safe, clean, and compliant with food hygiene standards.
- Key Duties
- Clean production areas, equipment, offices, welfare facilities, and outdoor areas.
- Thoroughly clean machinery used for meat cutting and processing.
- Sweep, mop, dust, sanitise, and maintain all designated areas.
- Clean and disinfect communal areas, toilets, and staff facilities.
- Use cleaning equipment, chemicals, and materials safely and correctly.
- Carry out routine hygiene inspections and report any issues.
- Follow all Health & Safety, food hygiene, and company procedures.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards throughout the site.
- Work both indoors and outdoors as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience as an Industrial Cleaner, Production Cleaner, or Hygiene Operative.
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining exceptional cleaning standards.
- Reliable with a proactive, self-motivated approach.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
- Comfortable cleaning equipment used for meat processing.
- Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
- Previous experience within a food manufacturing or meat production environment is advantageous.
