Acorn by Synergie is recruiting Manufacturing Machine Operators to join a global brewing company in Caldicot. This is a temporary long-term opportunity offering a structured shift pattern, competitive pay rates, and overtime opportunities within a fast-paced production environment.
Key Duties
- Operate packaging equipment to ensure finished goods meet quality, timing, and cost requirements.
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly routine tasks with attention to detail.
- Comply with statutory, health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Follow packaging and food hygiene regulations, including HACCP.
- Maintain housekeeping, cleaning, and 5S standards.
- Carry out basic asset care requirements for machinery.
- Support improvement activities to achieve departmental KPIs, including PI tracking and Short Interval Control (SIC).
- Attend training to develop new skills and perform packaging-related tasks as directed.
- Participate in team meetings and briefings.
- Ensure internal customer requirements are consistently met.
Requirements
- English and Mathematics Standard Grades or equivalent.
- Packaging or engineering qualification preferred.
- Previous packaging or engineering experience advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and follow agreed processes.
- Willingness to learn and undertake upskilling as required.
Shift Pattern & Pay
- 4 on, 4 off rotation: 2 days (7am - 7pm), 2 nights (7pm - 7am), followed by 4 days off.
- Hourly Rates: £15.46 per hour (first 12 weeks), £19.04 per hour (week 13 onwards), £21.16 per hour (week 39 onwards).
- Overtime Rates: £31.74 per hour for hours over 48 between 7am Monday and 7pm Friday, £42.32 per hour for hours over 48 between 7pm Friday and 7am Monday.
