Working alongside experienced buyers, you will support the sourcing and purchasing of engineering, maintenance, and manufacturing equipment , while developing strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams across the UK and Europe.

Please note: This role requires regular travel throughout the UK and Europe. A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel are essential.

  • Key Duties
  • Source engineering, maintenance, and manufacturing parts and services.
  • Raise purchase orders and monitor deliveries to ensure on-time supply.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Travel to customer and supplier sites across the UK and Europe.
  • Support supplier negotiations to achieve the best cost, quality, and lead times.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and continuous improvement. Resolve supplier, delivery, and invoice queries.
  • Produce procurement reports and maintain accurate purchasing records.
  • Support wider procurement and supply chain activities as required.

Requirements

  • Recent graduate in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, Engineering, or a related subject.
  • Completion of a 12-month industry placement as part of your degree, ideally within procurement, manufacturing, engineering, or supply chain.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Commercial awareness and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel regularly throughout the UK and Europe.
