Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for an experienced Senior Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join an established industrial maintenance team in St Austell. This is an excellent opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Supervisor, Engineering Chargehand or Senior Engineer who is ready to take the next step into a leadership or chargehand role while remaining technically involved in the day-to-day maintenance of industrial plant and equipment. You'll help lead the engineering team and ensure plant and equipment are maintained safely, reliably and efficiently.

Key Duties

  • Supervise and support the engineering team.
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on industrial plant and equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Support plant reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities and prioritise work.
  • Ensure maintenance work is completed safely and to a high standard.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a multi-skilled engineering or maintenance role.
  • Experience working with industrial plant or fixed equipment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
  • Previous experience leading, supervising or coordinating engineers.
  • A practical, hands-on approach to maintenance.
  • Strong focus on health and safety.
  • Experience within manufacturing, quarrying, mining, aggregates, chemical, food production or other process environments would be highly relevant.
