Acorn by Synergie is recruiting a Furniture Assembly Operative to join a well-established mobility furniture company in Newton Abbot.

As a Furniture Assembly Operative, you will be responsible for assembling, checking and finishing metal and upholstered furniture using a range of hand and power tools.
What We Offer
- £12.71 per hour, increasing to £13.45 per hour after 12 weeks.
- Monday-Thursday: 7:30am-4:30pm.
- Friday: 7:30am-1:15pm.
- Temporary-to-permanent opportunity.

Key Duties
- Read and follow job sheets, assembly instructions and build diagrams.
- Safely use cordless drills, screwdrivers, mallets and other hand and power tools.
- Inspect finished products for quality, defects and correct assembly.
- Ensure products meet the required quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and assembly instructions.
- Good attention to detail.
- Practical problem-solving skills, particularly when parts do not align correctly.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good basic communication skills.
- Previous furniture assembly or manufacturing experience would be advantageous.
