Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for an experienced Fire & Security Service Engineer to carry out service, maintenance, and fault finding on fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms, access control systems, and emergency lighting across commercial and domestic sites throughout the South West. This is a field-based role covering planned preventative maintenance, reactive call-outs, and system fault diagnosis across a range of fire and security systems, including addressable fire alarm systems.
Key Duties
- Service, maintain, and fault find on fire alarm systems, including addressable systems.
- Carry out maintenance and repairs on CCTV systems.
- Service intruder alarm systems.
- Support the installation and maintenance of access control systems.
- Test and inspect emergency lighting systems.
- Diagnose system faults and carry out effective repairs.
- Complete accurate service reports and job documentation.
- Provide professional on-site customer support.
- Work independently across planned and reactive maintenance jobs.
- Participate in an on-call rota for out-of-hours call-outs.
Requirements
- Proven experience within the fire and security industry.
- Strong background in fire alarm service and maintenance.
- Experience working with CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control systems.
- Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently in a field service environment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
- Experience with addressable fire alarm systems.
- FIA qualifications.
- IPAF certification.
- PASMA certification.
