Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to join a field-based Facilities Management team supporting one of the UK's largest retail clients across a nationwide estate. This is an excellent opportunity for a multi-skilled maintenance professional with experience across building fabric trades to take on a varied field-based role covering Devon and Cornwall.
You will carry out both planned and reactive maintenance, diagnose repair requirements and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard, while delivering excellent customer service across client sites.
What We Offer
- £30,000-£37,000 per annum, depending on experience.
- Permanent, full-time position.
- Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm.
- Field-based role covering Devon and Cornwall.

Key Duties
- Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across building fabric disciplines.
- Diagnose and assess repair requirements at customer sites.
- Complete maintenance and repair works to agreed standards and SLAs.
- Support the preparation of quotations and estimates for repair works.
- Complete job documentation, including photographs, materials used and detailed service reports.
- Manage tools, equipment and van stock effectively.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety requirements.
- Follow customer site procedures and facilities management processes.
- Identify potential issues and recommend appropriate repair solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and site contacts.
- Deliver a professional, reliable and customer-focused service at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance or a multi-skilled maintenance role.
- Experience across multiple building fabric trades.
- Strong practical problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
- Ability to assess repair requirements and estimate works accurately.
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload across multiple sites.
- Strong customer service skills and a professional approach.
- Full UK driving licence is essential due to the field-based nature of the role.
