Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Clerk of Works to join a large new-build construction project in Exeter. This opportunity would suit someone with strong construction knowledge across multiple disciplines, particularly internals, fit-out, and MEP works. Previous Clerk of Works experience is not essential, making this ideal for someone looking to progress into a quality and compliance-focused role.

Key Duties:

  • Carry out regular site quality inspections across internals, fit-out, and MEP installations.
  • Ensure works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and programme requirements.
  • Maintain accurate quality and compliance records.
  • Attend quality launch meetings and support project setup activities.
  • Assist with identifying package-specific quality control requirements.
  • Participate in risk assessments and quality reviews.
  • Monitor and close out quality control actions promptly.
  • Escalate non-compliance issues where required.
  • Support site teams with quality and compliance procedures.
  • Promote quality awareness through training and workshops.
  • Liaise with external parties regarding quality matters.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and performance tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Strong construction knowledge across internals, fit-out, or MEP works.
  • Previous site-based construction experience essential.
  • Previous Clerk of Works experience beneficial but not essential.
