Job Description Technical Manager - Food Manufacturing South Devon | £35,000-£45,000 depending on experience | Full-time | Monday to Friday Introduction Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Technical Manager to join an established and growing food manufacturing business in South Devon.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced food manufacturing professional to lead food safety, quality assurance and compliance across the production operation.
The role is suited to someone who enjoys maintaining high standards, working closely with production teams and driving continuous improvement within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Duties Manage and develop the site's food safety and quality management systems.
Maintain HACCP plans and ensure effective implementation throughout the business.
Investigate customer complaints, non-conformances and quality issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Oversee product specifications, labelling compliance and allergen management.
Monitor changes in food legislation and ensure the business remains compliant.
Work closely with production, operations and commercial teams to promote a strong food safety culture.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing site.
Requirements Previous experience in a Technical Manager or senior quality role within food manufacturing.
Strong understanding of BRCGS standards, HACCP principles and food safety legislation.
Level 4 Food Safety, HACCP certification or equivalent technical qualifications would be advantageous.
What We Offer Competitive salary of £35,000-£45,000, depending on experience.
Full-time, Monday to Friday working pattern.
