Acorn by Synergie is recruiting Recycling Operatives to join a recycling team in Tor Quarry. This is a hands-on role involving outdoor work in all weather conditions, sorting recyclable materials, and supporting general site operations.
Key Duties:- Correctly sort different recyclable materials.
- Hand-pick or machine-sort materials (paper, plastic, metal, glass) on conveyor belts, removing contaminants.
- Load and unload recycling vehicles and record waste weights.
- Inspect materials for contamination, identify hazardous items, and report issues.
- Maintain a tidy and safe working environment.
- Must have own transport to access the site.
- Must be able to lift heavy loads and be able to stand for long periods.
- Basic numeracy skills and the ability to follow instructions.
- Good attention to detail when identifying materials and contaminants.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and in dusty or noisy environments.
- £12.85 per hour.
- 7 am-4:30 pm working hours (days vary).
- Supportive local team environment.
