Introduction
We are recruiting on behalf of busy food manufacturer in the Plymouth area for an experienced Production Food Production Operative to join their team on a temporary-to-permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Food Production Operative, Batch Cook Operative, Food Manufacturing Operative, Food Processing Operative who is looking to join a well-established food manufacturer offering consistent weekday hours and long-term career prospects.
Candidates must have previous production or food manufacturing experience.

Key Duties
- Prepare batch-cooked food products and large-scale recipes according to production schedules and build guides.
- Operate commercial food production equipment
- Ensure consistent product quality, including taste, portion size, ingredient specification, and presentation.
- Follow strict food safety standards, including HACCP guidelines and temperature control procedures.
- Maintain accurate batch labelling and product traceability..
- Restock ingredients and support inventory management within the production area.
- Carry out end-of-shift cleaning, sanitation, and hygiene procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant food production environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Production Cook, Food Production Operative or similar role is essential.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and production instructions.
- Good understanding of food safety standards
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling tasks, including lifting heavy items.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Commitment to maintaining high hygiene and safety standards
