Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Customer Service & Warehouse Operative to join a small, well-established UK-based e-commerce business.
This role is ideal for a flexible, proactive individual who is passionate about delivering excellent customer experiences while helping to keep the warehouse efficient and well-organised.
Responsibilities
- Customer Service Responsibilities: Respond promptly and professionally to customer queries via email and live chat. Provide clear, friendly, and solution-focused support for order tracking, returns, and product information. Identify recurring customer issues and suggest improvements to streamline service. Work collaboratively with the team to continually improve the customer experience.
- Warehouse Responsibilities: Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for timely shipping. Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently. Load and unload deliveries, ensuring products are handled with care. Use a warehouse management system (e.g., Veeqo) to track stock and manage inventory levels. Maintain an organised and tidy warehouse environment. Conduct regular stock checks and report discrepancies. Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment at all times.
Requirements
- Excellent written English, including grammar, tone, and clarity.
- Previous e-commerce customer support experience (Shopify experience is a plus).
- Prior warehouse experience with knowledge of order fulfilment processes.
- Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new systems and tools.
- Highly reliable and punctual.
- Positive, calm attitude under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Comfortable with physical tasks such as lifting, moving, and stocking goods.
- Mechanical or construction knowledge is a bonus.
- Flexibility to work within UK hours (8am-6pm) and overlap with core team schedule.
