Mobile Plant Fitter | Heavy Plant Mechanic | Plant Maintenance Fitter Scunthorpe Steelworks | From £18 per hour + overtime premiums | Monday-Friday, 60 hours per week | Full-time, permanent | Site-based and field-based | Company van provided Introduction Acorn by Synergie is recruiting a Mobile Plant Fitter for a respected subcontractor based at Scunthorpe Steelworks. This permanent opportunity is ideal for an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter or Heavy Plant Mechanic with a background in mobile screening equipment, heavy plant or industrial machinery. You'll carry out maintenance, servicing and repairs across a range of plant equipment in a high-profile industrial environment. What We Offer Basic rate of £18 per hour for the first 40 hours. Overtime and Saturday rate of £27 per hour. Sunday and bank holiday rate of £36 per hour. Company van provided. Full-time, permanent opportunity with a reputable employer. Varied work in a high-profile industrial environment. Strong safety standards. Key Duties Carry out general maintenance and servicing of mobile plant equipment. Fit meshes and bearings, and replace belts. Repair screening and crushing equipment and heavy plant. Diagnose faults and resolve mechanical issues efficiently. Maintain high standards of safety and site compliance. Complete additional maintenance and repair duties as required. Requirements Proven experience as a Mobile Plant Fitter or Heavy Plant Mechanic. A mechanical qualification, such as City & Guilds, NVQ, HNC or equivalent. Strong knowledge of construction plant equipment, including excavators and dump trucks. Experience in quarrying, recycling or industrial environments. Full UK driving licence and own transport. CCNSG Site Safety Passport, or willingness to obtain one. Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills. Ability to work independently and travel to different locations as required. Interested?
