CNC Operator | CNC Machinist | CNC Technician | Manufacturing Technician | Production Machinist Exeter | £14.95 per hour (£34,000 per annum) | Monday to Friday | Full Time | Temporary to Permanent | Onsite Introduction Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for an experienced CNC Operator to join a growing manufacturing team within a bespoke vehicle fit-out business in Exeter.

You'll be responsible for setting up, programming and operating CNC machinery to produce high-quality components to precise specifications.

Key Duties Set up, programme and operate CNC machinery.

Create and modify CNC programmes using VCarve software.

Carry out milling, grinding and finishing operations.

Work from engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Inspect components and monitor quality throughout production.

Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.

Install and maintain tooling and machine fixtures.

Support assembly and welding activities when required.

Maintain accurate production records and ensure compliance with all health, safety and quality procedures.

Requirements Previous CNC machining experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.

Experience setting up and programming CNC machines.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Strong mechanical aptitude, numerical skills and problem-solving abilities.

Competent using hand tools, power tools and measuring equipment.

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable Experience using VCarve software.

Knowledge of plastics manufacturing or injection moulding.

Welding or fabrication experience.

Understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
