Introduction
Acorn by Synergie is recruiting on behalf of our client for a Senior Technologist to join the Technical Team in Clydach, Swansea on a 12-month fixed-term contract to provide maternity cover.
Celebrating 125 years of operation, the Mond Nickel Refinery is one of the world's leading nickel refineries. Owned and operated by Vale Europe, part of one of the largest global mining companies, this is an excellent opportunity to work in a stable, safety-driven and world-class engineering environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting refinery operations, process improvement initiatives and technical projects across the site. Working closely with production, engineering and technical colleagues, the role offers a varied mix of process support, problem-solving, data analysis and project work within a complex manufacturing environment.

Key Duties / Key Responsibilities
Provide technical expertise and support to refinery operations and plant leadership teams.
Analyse plant performance data and identify opportunities to improve process efficiency, reliability and productivity.
Lead or participate in cross-functional improvement projects that benefit the refinery as a whole.
Develop practical technical solutions based on operational data, analysis and industrial experience.
Support key process safety activities including Management of Change (MOC), HAZOP studies and risk assessments. xgikmsk
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure refinery requirements are met.
Share technical knowledge and best practice across the organisation and wider industry networks.
