Acorn by Synergie is urgently recruiting HGV Class 1 Shunter Drivers for a busy trunking operation. This is an excellent opportunity for drivers seeking regular work, competitive pay, and long-term opportunities within a modern logistics environment.
Start times are 07:00 daily, working Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday.
Key Duties:- Safely operate yard shunter vehicles.
- Carry out safe coupling and uncoupling of trailers.
- Monitor and report vehicle damage.
- Perform regular tyre checks.
- Ensure fridges are running correctly and electrical connections are secure.
- Maintain vehicle wash and refuelling areas.
- Collect and return vehicles for servicing when required.
- Follow all site health and safety procedures.
- Valid HGV Class 1 (Cat CE) licence.
- Valid CPC and Digi Tacho card.
- Previous shunting experience preferred, although training can be provided.
- Strong work ethic and reliable timekeeping.
- Ability to work independently and safely within a busy yard environment.
- £17 - £19 per hour.
- Minimum 8 hours paid per shift.
