Acorn by SYNERGIE is searching for a HR Advisor to join our client, a fast-paced manufacturing business based in Runcorn, Cheshire on an 8-month Fixed Term Contract. Reporting to the HR Manager, the purpose of the role is to provide proactive, hands-on HR support across the business, partnering with managers on employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and people-focused initiatives within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Duties will include:

  • Support the management of employee absence cases, working closely with managers to promote attendance and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Coordinate the full recruitment lifecycle, including approvals, advertising, interviewing, onboarding, and contract administration.
  • Provide guidance to line managers on a range of employee relations matters, including performance, conduct, and workplace concerns.
  • Contribute to talent development activities, including appraisal processes and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Assist with the review and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and best practice initiatives.
  • Maintain HR systems and employee documentation, producing reports and people data insights when required.
  • Facilitate training and onboarding activities to support leadership capability and employee integration.
  • Promote employee engagement and support wider culture and wellbeing initiatives across the business.

If you have a passion for HR and a good understanding of the manufacturing sector, this could be a fantastic opportunity for you. We're looking for someone with previous experience in a similar HR role, up-to-date employment law knowledge, and the ability to build strong relationships across the workforce. A CIPD qualification or HR degree would be advantageous, alongside strong attention to detail and confident IT skills across Microsoft Office.
