This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Machinist / Toolmaker to join a growing business with a strong reputation across a wide range of sectors, including Renewable Energy, Construction, Manufacturing, Flood Defence, Automotive, and more.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and set up manual centre lathes to produce high-quality components.
- Carry out precision machining, turning, milling, and fitting of components.
- Measure and inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Work within a skilled machine shop environment across various industries.
Requirements:
- Time-served Turner / Toolmaker with proven manual machining experience.
- Proficiency in operating and setting up manual centre lathes.
- Strong knowledge of machining processes and tools.
- Experience with precision measurement techniques and inspection tools.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or machining environment.
- Relevant technical training or certifications advantageous.
Details:
- Permanent full-time position.
- £16.94 per hour.
- Overtime paid at time and a half after standard hours.
- Double time on Sundays and bank holidays.
- 32 days annual leave including bank holidays.
