This role is suited to an experienced project professional who has personally delivered engineering projects from the early engineering stage through to installation, commissioning and handover.

The Role

You will manage engineering projects through the full project lifecycle:

Working on a live manufacturing site, you will collaborate with contractors, engineers, operations, safety and procurement teams while managing technical challenges throughout project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver mechanical and/or electrical engineering projects.
  • Develop engineering specifications and project plans.
  • Manage design and procurement activities.
  • Oversee installation and contractor management.
  • Manage commissioning and project handover.
  • Lead Management of Change processes.
  • Manage CDM requirements.
  • Support HAZOPs and risk assessments.
  • Manage project costs and budgets.
  • Lead Project and Design Engineers.
  • Resolve technical issues throughout project delivery.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, effectively and to specification.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree or equivalent.
  • Strong Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background.
  • Experience taking projects from engineering and design through to installation and commissioning.
  • Experience working on live industrial or manufacturing sites.
  • Strong contractor and stakeholder management experience.
  • Understanding of CDM, HAZOP and risk assessment processes.
  • Experience with project cost and budget management.
  • Chartered status would be advantageous.
  • Formal Project Management qualifications would be advantageous.
