Introduction
Acorn by Synergie is currently recruiting Production Operatives to work at one of our well-established clients in the Newport area.
What We Offer
- £12.85 per hour plus shift premiums.
- Day, afternoon and night shift patterns.
- Full training provided for operating robots manually.
Key Duties
- Operate machinery to assist in the production process.
- Conduct visual quality checks of all products.
- Load and unload products onto the production line.
- Undertake manual handling activities.
- Operate robots manually if any problems occur, with full training provided.
- Run the Oxide Mill, working with pure lead and heat torches.
- Abide by all Health & Safety guidelines.
- Ensure good housekeeping and 5S standards are maintained within the area of responsibility.
Requirements
- Previous experience with heavy industry products and hot metals.
- Numerate and literate, with GCSE passes in Mathematics and English Language desirable.
- PC literate, with knowledge of Microsoft beneficial.
- Robotic knowledge would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of the FIFO system is desirable.
- Enthusiastic with a responsible attitude.
- Common-sense approach with good interpersonal skills.
- Good attention to detail and ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work under pressure and achieve targets.
- Flexible approach to working hours.
- Must be able to wear an Airflow mask, as this is mandatory due to the nature of the work, and therefore must be clean shaven.
