Acorn by Synergie is currently recruiting Mechanical Installation Engineers / Mechanical Fitters for a new-build commercial project in Bridgend.

This is a 4-6 week contract opportunity for experienced mechanical installation professionals with a valid CSCS Card.

You will assist the client's Site Supervisors and Site Installation Engineers with the installation of a theatre counterweight system.

The work will primarily be carried out from birdcage scaffolding alongside an experienced installation team.

Key Duties

Install steelwork, guide tracks and general mechanical equipment, including support brackets.

Assemble and install counterweight cradles and associated mechanical components.

Install head blocks, loft blocks, wire ropes and steel wire ropes.

Align and secure mechanical components in accordance with engineering drawings.

Use hand and power tools to assemble and secure equipment.

Work safely from birdcage scaffolding and follow all site safety procedures.

Assist with general mechanical installation activities as directed by the Site Supervisor.

Requirements

Valid CSCS Card - essential.

Previous mechanical installation experience.

Comfortable working at height from birdcage scaffolding.

Ability to work safely and follow site procedures.

Own hand tools and PPE.

Experience installing steelwork, mechanical equipment or stage engineering systems would be desirable.
