A dynamic company in the Swindon area is currently recruiting for reliable and trustworthy individuals to operate their mobile equipment across Avonmouth and other parts of the country. The role is interesting and varied, involving travel to multiple sites and working either a 10 days on, 4 days off schedule or a 7 days on, 3 days off schedule, with shifts running from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. You will occasionally be required to work away from home, including overnight stays, with all expenses covered. A company van will also be provided for your use. A background of process plant operations would be beneficial. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, well-organised, computer literate, confident and reliable, with a desire to expand their knowledge and develop their skills. Shifts: * Working 10 on 4 off or 7 days on 3 days off 6am-6pm. * Overtime for any hours worked 40 hours per week at 1.5 rate Requirements / experience: * Plant operator; with an understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment. * Must be able to work unsupervised, sometimes at remote sites. * Process experience; relevant experience in the water or process industry an advantage but not essential. * Flexible; must be willing to adapt to changing requirements to meet customer demands. * Customer focused; must be able to communicate at all levels and gain the trust and respect of customers. * Able to work away from home for periods of up to 8 days (depending on shift pattern). * Shift work; able to commit to changing shift patterns to meet customer requirements such as staggered starts and night shifts. * Driving licence; must have a full, ideally clean driving licence for manual vehicles. * Forklift and/or Telehandler licence an advantage but not essential. Hours of work: * Staggered work pattern to suit you * Paying £25k plus shift allowance increasing to £29k after objectives achieved working 10-days in a row and having four days off OTE £48k or seven days on three off £34k OTE including shift allowance Responsibilities: * To install, operate and maintain our range of Mobile Processing Plant. * Optimise machine settings to achieve desired processing parameters. * Assist Service Engineers when on site or at the company workshop. * Supervise and train subcontract labour, and new starters after completion of training. * Understand and follow Risk Assessments and Method Statements prior to undertaking installation and operating work.
