Electrical Qualified Engineer working days 7am-3pm Location: Trostre (SA14) Salary: £29,307 per annum + bonus What you will do Trostre works are one of Europe’s leading suppliers of high quality packaging who work closely with their business partners to increase value along the entire supply chain. They do this by developing innovative materials, applications and processing technologies, with a consistent focus on customer benefit. Acorn by Synergie are looking for someone to act as an Electrical Engineering Specialist on behalf of their client. Working day shifts you’ll perform preventative maintenance and inspection work to professional standards. We want to speak to people that are keen to make a difference, who have a passion for their work and like no 2 days to be the same. If this sounds like you, this is what you’ll do: Underpin manufacturing performance and support manufacturing Improvement and works development plans Identify improvement opportunities through collaborative working with relevant groups To ensure that changes to plant, process procedures and organisation are appropriately risk accessed in line with the works management of change process Provide engineering expertise & advise in order to diagnose and correct complex faults in the manufacturing process equipment Ensure that Electrical maintenance work undertaken is completed to time and to appropriate safety and Engineering standards Develop expertise and keep up to date in maintenance techniques and equipment development applicable to a heavy manufacturing environment by self-study and attendance on appropriate courses Provide comprehensive reports on breakdowns, repairs and related engineering activities where appropriate recommending improvements to equipment or systems What you will need If you’re qualified to a minimum HNC level, then this is the challenge for you. Normally this will have been obtained through a craft apprenticeship in electrical / process control engineering or you’ll hold a Modern Apprenticeship certificate. The Electrical Craft Team Member should have relevant plant experience in electrical / process control systems and be capable of supervising personnel in the safe execution of engineering repair work. We’d also love to hear from you if you have: Good understanding of electrical safety Experience of working with industrial/domestic wiring Ability to interpret electrical drawings Expertise with AC and DC motor/gearbox drive systems of various configurations Experience of digital drives and PLCs A systematic problem solving approach SAP knowledge & basic Microsoft IT Skill Acorn by Synergie acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment.
